NECESSITY OF SMARTPHONE FOR TEACHERS DURING SCHOOL HOUR

Teachers should not be banned to use smart phone in school. Now a day’s an innovative teacher cannot go ahead without smart phone. The common CCE pattern introduced by CBSE has made compulsory to record the activities done in FAs. The smart phone is handy and carried easily to anywhere during class hour. So a teacher can keep the record of his/her activities done by simply clicking a photo or recording the same. Really a smart phone has replaced a laptop. 

Government has also declaring ITC award every year for teachers. And smart phone can help a lot in using ITC in school. Smart phone has dictionary, Encyclopedia, News Hunt which help a teacher to discover the whole library through smart phone. He helps himself in personal development and also he clears the doubts of the children in free period. Not only that, Whatsapp is playing a marvelous work. A group made on school teachers can give information in a second time. Through Whatsapp we can save several papers meant for notice. Whatsapp group make teachers innovative. Teachers, they share their innovative classroom activities by which other teachers are motivated by this. A single click can reach a teacher to discover a new thing.

So many teachers’ websites like beyondteaching.com, ciiten.in, teachersofindia.org are very helpful for teachers to update himself very quickly through Smartphone. After all Smartphone has engaged the teachers during school free periods rather than gossiping and nasty politics talk.

Only there is a problem of misuse of this smart phone by teachers for example picking a phone call in between the class, opening whatsapp during the class, using face book during the class. Action can be taken, explanation can be taken from those teachers who are misusing such a useful device and spoiling the grand motto of the device. For one or two teachers’ work all teachers come under the problem.

That’s why it is the request to the school management to allow Smartphone for teachers and give specific instruction to teachers about do’s and don’ts so that all teachers will walk on the same rule and be creative and innovative by using smartphone during school hour.

Teachers and parents always say read and read. They say write and write. They say remember and remember. All these are the traditional causal theory for success.

Here students don't know 'what to read and what not to read', ' how to read', 'what to write and how to write', 'what to remember and how to remember'.

They do hard work but don't know 'smart work'- the technique to work.
